Denmead UK 9th July 2012 Eurotask have announced the introduction of the latest SM-3DB Pro, SM-3DB Pro Plus and SM-3DB Elit Digital Night Vision binoculars. The new models have built-in DVR options and new camera technology capable of performance equivalent to a Gen2+ light intensification device. Already used by many maritime security companies and some of the most prestigious yachts in the world, the SM series is the perfect choice for detection, surveillance, security and navigation assistance day or night.
The rugged SM unit is constructed in aluminium, built to IP67 and is powered by 4x AA rechargeable batteries. The CCD technology used in the SM range amplifies available ambient light and together with state-of-the-art image processing algorithms, produces a crisp image on a 2.5", 960 × 240 resolution screen.
Unlike some other night vision technologies, the SM series’ CCD technology can be used even in bright sunlight, without damage to the camera tube. The other big advantage of the technology is it can be used successfully from inside a wheelhouse as it can “see through glass.” Thermal Imaging technology will not work through glass.
All SM models have 8x magnification and are supplied with a high powered IR Illuminator to improve range and performance in total darkness. The SM-3DB Pro Plus has a built-in DVR with 8Gb storage capacity for up to 7 hours of video. Recorded video can be downloaded to a PC using the cable provided.
Top of the range, the SM-3DB Elit has a completely new super sensitive camera capable of amplifying available light by up to 80 times giving a performance equivalent to a Gen2+ light intensification device. Like the SM-3DB Pro Plus, the Elit incorporates the integral DVR as standard.
All units are supplied in a carry case with batteries, a 12v charger with cigarette lighter adaptor and a 240v/12v mains charger.
